Can I use hdmi on my laptop to TV without a screen in my laptop?

So I was thinking , can I use hdmi to TV on my laptop without a screen , and I mean with no screen. It's an acre aspire e1 531 . I removed my screen completely.

I tried with my hdmi and it's not working , my samsung just says check signal cable

Should be able to. I've used laptops with broken screens before and just an external monitor.

Hi, yes you can, I'm using an IBM without the screen with no problem.
