Can I use my British 220v HP G56 laptop in Mexico (110v) without a transformer?

Maybe. The charging brick should say what voltage it can run on - usually it'll say something like 100-250V. If so, you're fine.

As above, what does the power supply say? Also you will need an adapter for the plug, make sure you get one that supports 100w or more. A guy at work melted a plug adapter because it was rated for a much lower wattage than his laptop power supply
