Can I use my laptop and get internet service if I don’t have a desktop

Yes my family is getting cable and internet service but we don’t have a desktop right now but I have a dell laptop and I want to know if I can use my laptop and still get internet service even though we don’t have a desktop

Yes. Just plug the ethernet cable into the square RJ45 socket on the Dell - it works the same as the one on any desktop.

When the techs come to setup your equipment they will setup your modem that is where your internet service comes from. They will also likely install a router with network ports and also WiFi, you can use that on your laptop.
