I have an old Asus Laptop that's in full working order running an old version of windows XP. If I power up the laptop it works fine. However, it don't get used at all these days so I just want to use it as a dumb monitor connected to my DVD recorder which is recording images from my CCTV cameras. Is it possible to do this? Previously, I had an old VGA monitor connected which started going blank so hence why I wish to use the laptop. The problem I'm encountering though is that the laptop wants to start up as a laptop and boot into XP, I don't need this to happen at all as I just want it to act as a dumb output device. Is there a way to bypass this so it just displays/works as a monitor would?
