Can i use these headphones for gaming?

I just got a pair of sony mdr xb500 headphones which are supposed to deliver amazing bass. Can i hook these up to my pc and play games like battlefield and expect good bass?

those headphones are total crap. good bass perhaps but at the expense of everything else. the quality of the bass itself isnt even good. its just boomy.

i owned a pair of xb headphones for 1 day before i returned them. so muddy it wasnt even funny.

you would do better to return them and buy something like the audiotechnica ath-m50s on ebay for $100-130. they provide decent bass but not at the expense of everything else.

you can use any headphones for gaming... but some are better than others in terms of quality.
