Hello, I have a lenovo z585 laptop amd a8 4500m Radeon hd 7640g+7670m graphics with 4gb 1333mHz (adata) ram and 1tb hard disk from wd.

My laptop crashed due to some graphics issue and the lenovo service centre personnel are saying to replace the motherboard to fix the issue.

So can I upgrade my laptop's CPU from amd a8 4500m to amd a10? And which one will have better performance on the a10 side?

Solution
Yes, you should be able to use the A10-4600m on that board. The A8-4500m runs $5-$15 on ebay and the A10-4600m starts at $35-$45. These are used APUs. For the money, I used the A8-4500m on my home media center mini-itx. Yes, the A10 will be quicker and the graphics would be better on games. Its your choice, but, it sounds like your mobo will be replaced by the service center. Did they give you a quote for upgrading the APU to A10-4600m?

The GPU is integrated into the AMD A8-4500m and/or the A10-4600m (CPU/APU). If you upgrade the processor to A10-4600m, it's all you need to upgrade.
I can't tell you costs in your currency, you will need to research that in your market. But, cost difference between the A8 and the A10 and the the speed gain, was enough that I chose to stay with the A8.
