Sudddenly, my laptop can not recognise wireless signal available in the room (other laptop can). I have tried REFRESH LIST as well as re-installed wireless driver.
OK, the wireless chipset in my laptop could be now faulty but if that is the case, is there any chance to get it repaired as I understand, it is integrated onto mobo.

Thanks.

Are you sure the SSID is set to broadcast and/or your notebook is set to pick up non-broadcasting network signals?

But the other machine might be set to see it. You need to make sure this one is too.

Well, thank you for your time. today i brought the machine to computer shop and to my totally shock, there is a LOCK (handle) on one side of the laptop that has function :turn ON or OFF wireless chipset. So basically if the handle is pushed to off position, no wireless signal is visible to the laptop.

People in the shop told me that this LOCK is "very common". Now, my laptop is receiving signal as before.

if the shop didn't charge you, they seem honest so I recommend you use them next time. they could've said you need to replace pci card or something else.

1) The shop did not charge me
2) I do not know why you said that they SEEM to be honest. 😀 . Certainly they are very honest.
3) Why do they BUILD that lock and is it true that it is common?

It's common for mainstream notebooks, and it's put there so you can disable your wireless card so you don't have to via software. A button is easier.
