I was wondering if this laptop doesn't have a quad core processor, will it still run GTA V smoothly?

Nevermind the i7 5500U has 2 cores and 4 threads it isn't quad core. Will it still run GTA V smoothly with 2 cores: 4 threads?

It's only going to run GTA V at low to medium settings @ 1366x768 resolution, for decent framerates. Unplayable at 1920x1080 resolution (14fps).

You can run it fine and probably even at 1080p, I have a video up online on youtube regarding how to set your settings . I have downclocked my cpu to simulate weaker processors and urs should do just fine. Have a look at it to understand what to turn on and what to not .

4 threads is enough for gta 5, currently the gpu is the bottleneck, not the cpu.
