Hi, I have this Toshiba Satellite c850 working fine on Windows 8.1. I tried to install windows 10 recently and during the installation the screen flick and screen display became bad. It flick and never came back to normal. The screen gets very hot at the bottom middle. What do I do pls?

First thing I would do would be to go to the Toshiba site and download the driver they have for the display. I don't think the screen can be damaged by software (that was not true years ago). Getting very hot is not good. You may have a hardware problem that just happened by chance when you updated Windows. Also, Toshiba probably has a HW diagnostic you can run to help check your display hardware.

BTW--was the upgrade to Win 10 successful otherwise?

Thanks @AIHuneke for your response.
The upgrade was successful but I had to downgrade back to Windows 8.1 when I encountered this problem yet same screen issues. I will try the hardware diagnosis as you have suggested. Can you suggest any site or software for that pls?
Thanks once again.
