Well you know what they do with your credit card when you don't behave(bad credit etc..), they slice it with scissor when they can, they could do the same with those guys.

[citation][nom]surfer1337dude[/nom]I ment to say that he is not saying to censor to limit the freedom of speech but rather to remove such an insensitive comment.[/citation]Same thing.[citation][nom]surfer1337dude[/nom]After all if this was your daughter you would probably be one of the first to say to remove the comment for the inhuman comment.[/citation]Also incorrect.[citation][nom]surfer1337dude[/nom] If you really want to play the "what about our freedom/rights" card. An insensitive comment like this would would conflict with her right/freedom of the pursuit of happiness.[/citation]Wow, you're on a roll aren't you? Also incorrect.[citation][nom]surfer1337dude[/nom]Since the freedom of speech is just a part of ones' pursuit of happiness her case would trump your freedom of speech. If you really think that this would not conflict with her pursuit of happiness, what do you think would happen if she see's a post making fun or her rape?[/citation]Have a cry about it, instead of respecting other people's rights to state their opinion.[citation][nom]surfer1337dude[/nom]I'm pretty sure that it would upset and only worsen her state of mind. So you sir are the real asshole for intruding on someone else's higher right of the pursuit of happiness.[/citation]
Then get off the internet and stop spoiling it for the rest of us.

I fully expect Toms and others to censor, because that's unfortunately usually what happens in this world, however I don't approve of it one bit.

On the other hand, perhaps with circulation of these pictures, some decent people will take it upon themselves to identify the assholes responsible and then give their information to the police for proper justice.

Not saying it's a great reason for circulation, but one can only hope that it DOES happen as circulation is already happening.

A friend of mine told me a story once. A girl (a not very good looking one) agreed to be gangbanged by a several boys in his neighborhood but later she got scared of her mom and told her and the police that they had raped her.
The funny part of the story is that after the group has met at the police they have met at the hospital (VD) again.

Just another fortuitous opportunity for the government to demonize drugs even further. Most likely, she was rolling face and was more than willing to get gangbanged. Now this might not be the case, but I have been to my share of raves, festies, shows, and I know it's entirely possible for such promiscuity to occur. And thank god for that!

Not commenting on this article but some of the conversations here about abusing the "rape" card too often. I have a friend who was driving to Toronto who picked up two hitch-hikers (women of age). They then told him to take them to Ottawa or they would call the police and scream rape. (Ottawa was a few hours out of his way). They had his plate number written down. He had to comply or face the legal battle. He had a good job and all too often even the accusation of rape will get you fired even if you're found not guilty. He couldn't risk losing his job over it even if proven innocent.

Sometimes people know what they can get away with and are too eager to abuse it.

[citation][nom]stm1185[/nom]Hope they arrest everyone taking a video of it as an accomplice. Standing around video taping 7 guys rape a girl should not be a legal act. But then maybe Canada is in to that sort of thing.[/citation]

As a canadian I can tell you we aren't into this kind of thing... However they should have kicked the group of rapers asses, and since they let it happen they should be arrested and charged for rape with the rest. Its sad that people enjoy watching other people get hurt.

[citation][nom]kikireeki[/nom]"I don't think those that have the actual photographs understand that in fact it's an offence to possess those, and it's also an offence to distribute them, because it is child pornography," Lench said. So if it was not I child porno then it is ok to be distributed?[/citation]

this same thing happened here in the Bay Area last year at Richmond High School.

People thought that it was ok to stand around and record it and then as if that wasnt bad enough, rather than hand the recordings over to police, post them on facebook....I mean WTF?

[citation][nom]robd007[/nom]guaranteed they are just calling it rape b/c shes underage. she was def willing.[/citation]
Statutory rape due to the age of the girl is still rape.
Willing whilst under the influence of rape drugs is not willing at all.
Having 7 guys all go at once isn't right by any definition.
Filming it and posting on the internet is just asking for trouble.
...
Someone should hang these guys from their balls from the nearest tree.

This is a hard one to comment on because we don't know what went down or how it went down...so unless you have seen the pictures or were at the rave then you really have no idea if she was being raped or not. I won't say either way, but I do find it funny that no one would stop it if she was "being raped" and so many people were watching...just raises many questions.

Sorry but after the acid lady I have a hard time giving anyone the benefit of the doubt now.

We dont know if its a rape, the pigs say so. Maybe a gangbang turned rape when mommy saw the pictures on facebook? Im pretty sure that if it was a clear cut rape nobody would have stood around filming. Normally even a dumb teen is smart enough not to record incriminating evidence and post it on FB.

"Why can't 16 year olds just wait till they are more mature and cautious to go to parties."

Ah here we go again, good old classic 'blame the victim' reasoning. Yes how dare she go to a party...

Of course the pack of wolves out there cowardly preying on young girls, and the damn cowards who sit there and film it instead of helping (there has been a disturbing increase in these type of cases in my opinion), are not discussed at all.

BTW, I live in Vancouver and have read all the local news on this.

The police are "convinced" a rape happened. They have not said if it was one person or several (gang bang). They had a nurse who specializes in rape investigations examine the girl and there is medical evidence of a rape. They have also done toxicology tests. And they have spoken to numerous witnesses.

I think I'll take the word of the police over a bunch of FB ravers who are all trying to get their stories straight so they can avoid getting in trouble over this (the guy who organized the rave, the people who provided the drugs, the people who watched and didn't do anything....).

BTW, police are very aware of the "rape card". They know a lot of woman (young girls, spurned lovers) call rape when it didn't happen. A young girl high on drugs at a rave would be a perfect candidate for a false rape accusation. The police would know this and would be very diligent before making an official statement about a rape occurring (and arresting anyone).

In local discussion forums the only people who seem to think she "wanted" it are all young men who like to go to raves and pop E. Many, many young men posting locally seem to think that if you're under the influence of some drug that your not legally repsonsible for your actions. Many also seem to believe if a girl is also high, that she shouldn't be surprised if she gets taken advantage of. Sad state to think how many young men actually think this way. This is going to be a rude awakening for many of them.

I talked to a supreme court judge yesterday about this (she's a customer of ours). She said intoxication (her wordds were self intoxication)has never worked as a defense in court. It doesn't matter how drunk or high you are, you are still responsible for your actions. She said the only way you wouldn't be responsible is if someone else administered the substance.

Wow, victim blaming much? That doesn't make raping a 16 year old girl suddenly ok.

Police are still looking for witnesses in the rape case?
With all those videos and photos of the crime. Justice
delayed is justice denied.
