how do i get rid of the screen recognition icons?

Face recognition icons?
Did you try deleting them?

Or did you want to stop the face recognition program from running?
Start Menu -> All Programs -> Toshiba -> Utilities ->Toshiba Face Recognition and edit setting to not run.
