Can't connect wifi

Hey guys! Recently I was given an hp pavilion 17-f001dx notebook as a gift. At first, I had no problem connecting to the wireless hotspot on my phone. But randomly tonight, my laptop lost the signal. It will not pick up my wifi or any of the neighbors. For the past two or three weeks, I have had no problems. Please help me if you can!

if your wifi is showing up but not connecting try completely forgetting the network and reconnecting again? that's sometimes works. Also, go to computer and type 'cmd' in the search bar and a box will pop up, type in 'ipconfig/all' and then it will bring up your ip address and then type 'ping'.

It's not showing up at all :/ it says "no connections are available"

Possibly a keystroke, button or switch to turn it on. Does it have a light. usually it is orange if it is turned off and blue if turned on. Good luck!

Well here's the thing about that.. When I received the laptop, they didn't give me the manual! And I cannot find a button or switch anywhere!!

Try fn key + f12 key at the same time. Or any other f key that looks like a radio antenna. Good luck!

Okay, I finally figured it out! I did a system restore and thankfully that did the trick. Thank y'all so much for helping me!

Glad you got it sorted out. Possibly a crap windows update killed it.
