Solved! Can't decide which laptop is better

Hello,

I am pretty new to buying laptops and computers and the last time i bought anything was in 2005. I tend to game alot online, stuff like LoL and other MMOs. I havent been able to play the more demanding games like Skyrim and BF3 so I was wondering if you guys could help me decide on which laptop I should buy. http/www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834158073

Hi,

You know that refurbish laptop has had some problem and has been repaired: also the guarantee is only 90 days VS 1 year from a non refurnish lappy.

For my part I wouldn't touch any of these laptop (acer, hp, dell, gateway, compaq) with a ten foot pole especially the refurbish ones.

I would get one of them instead:

Asus are cheaper, more reliable and has a better warrant.

Both are good. The second is better.
But you wont be able to play skyrim at high settings with this laptop.

You should get a laptop with quad core CPU + 555M/550M Nvidia graphics and above or 6770M ATI graphics and above to play in high settings.

If you don't mind about refurbished laptops, you could as well pick up on of those ASUS G73s in newegg.

You could still play at medium or low settings with 540M graphic card. So it all boils down to whether you want to pay 500 extra to have a decent 'gaming' laptop or not.

Wow thanks you guys! yea i was wondering whether quality over quantity in terms of money... i guess i should get some thing that will serve me better in the long term instead of something that might break down in the near future and become even more expensive in repairs.

I think ill go ahead and look for a gaming laptop in the more 700-800 range instead. Thanks for the suggestions guys.
