I switched back to DISH in 2009 - hopefully these options are still current!
I think you NEED Over-the-Air (OTA) Module, which is available direct from DISH as well as other online retailers. The module is inserted in your receiver.
Since I didn't want to pay for local channels, I purchased a TERK TV-44 [amplified outdoor satellite dish clip-on] antenna. I think the downside (subject to opinion) is that when using TERK Antenna you don't get programming for local channels in the program guide. Since the area I'm in only has 3 local channels, I can live without these 3 channels being included in guide...and I eliminate $5 (?) fee from my bill.
