Car sub for home use RCA jack

Hello,
I have a sub that not in my car right now and I was wondering if I could use it with my home receiver. But the receiver requires line level input and the sub is speak level. Is there a way I can use it or do o absolutely have to go and buy a sub with line level?

You would need an amplifier to power it. If you have a stereo receiver or integrated amp that would work fine. Most car subs don't do a great job in home use since they are designed for a much much smaller space.
