“And you Apple fanboys are insecure faggots who flock to the most popular flavor of the month. You obviously lack individuality, so turn to Apple to remedy that.”
Firstly, I’m not an Apple fanboy, I’m a reasoned consumer, who tries to get the product which gives me what I want. I think people at either extreme are pathetic, for similar reasons. You’re at the Android extreme.
Secondly, how would your proposed problem of a lack of individuality be resolved by buying the most popular phone ever? That is simply illogical.
Thirdly, if anything, with the Android phones all being in the minority, for many Android fans it’s that need to try and be different that drives the purchase, so it’s highly ironic that you accuse me of that.
‘I don't know the specs? I'm going to laugh when it's launched and I get to point back to me referencing it.’
No, you do not know the specs. That’s simply a fact. As for ‘pointing back’, I think the part where I tried to explain to you that the hardware specs such as processor don’t matter escaped you. That applies to your long pointless drivel about them putting a ‘dual core’ chip in the phone too. It’s like you genuinely don’t see that there’s more specifications to a phone than whether the chip is single or dual core, and it astounds me the number of idiotic android fans who keep saying ‘My phone is dual core, therefore it’s better’ - whilst enjoying a slower and more sluggish interface and games..
‘They produce the hardware and software, I would only expect that out of them. Even with that said, you obviously haven't picked up a S II, Photon, Bionic or anything else recently. You'll find that they're fast as shit.’
Yes, Apple do produce the hardware AND the software, which has always meant that they could be more efficient, require lower hardware whilst offering the same performance, and offer longer battery life. When I was thinking of which phone to buy I tried every competitor there was. You see, I don’t come from the insecure, child-like, completely illogical point of view of ‘I dont like Apple, what can I get which isn’t Apple’, I also don’t come from the old-school nerd or cheap approach of saying ‘oh but it has fewer megahertz’ or ‘it costs a bit more’, I approach buying a phone with reason and logic, I tried and tested them all, looked at what they could offer me, and made an informed decision. I still benefit from this today. My Iphone has better battery life than even the new Androids, it allows me to watch Sky Sports, and it has access to the biggest app library whilst being in my opinion the most well engineered phone there is. The first 3 of those are simply things that the Android phones do not have, that’s just reality. It’s real, tangible, user experience benefits. You know, logical stuff.
‘You seem to like using the word "Nerd" a lot. So let me get this straight -- you're either A.) A nerd and it's lawl at teh megaherrrrtz, or you're B.) A cool dude who doesn't care about specs, just as long as it looks shiny, and the general population accepts your decision. ‘
It’s interesting that that’s how simple the world is to you. I deduced that you’re a nerd because you have a completely illogical ingrained perspective that you must get the most mhz for the cheapest price. A non-nerd wouldn’t do that. Similarly, you don’t have to be someone who ‘doesn’t care about specs’ - to make a logical phone purchase. The real world has many further categories of people, one of which I fit into which is people who care about the specificatons WHICH MATTER. For example, how long the battery life lasts, what the phone can actually be used for, how likely it is to fall apart, how happy I will be actually using it.
‘You really are a insecure my wise and beautiful friend. Go ahead, call me a nerd. I could care less -- mostly because the general public are filthy little rats whom lick windows and are liable to be run over by a bus at any given moment. At least have someone a little more prestigious, that I respect, insult me -- that way it'll actually go to heart and make me reflect. ‘
LOL at the irony dripping from that ‘insecure’ statement. I mean first of all, wow, someone has a grudge against the world. You must be an UGLY nerd, lol. I think this paragraph really outlines what an anti-social freak you are.
‘You can always smell a fresh business student. They're quick to throw that "Supply and demand" herp derp shit at you. You see, after a certain point, it's just robbery. The people in suits obviously don't say it that way, but behind closed doors they're snickering. Same reason gas prices at close to $4 a gallon still -- greedy bastards who screw up the market and rabble on this whole "Supply and demand" and "Shortage fears" shit. There is absolutely no reason for gas prices -- well, beyond the main and ONLY reason: GREED. ‘
Firstly, I’ve never studied business, I thought from the fact I stated it was obvious that you would have deduced that. See, it’s basic, basic stuff.
Secondly - supply and demand isn’t just a ‘theory’, it’s reality, and applies in exactly the same way to ‘gas’ as it does to phones, bringing me on to three:
Thirdly - the gas prices can be whatever price they want to name them because they are the only supplier and because people depend on them. That means a very limited supply reliant on a particular company. Yet still, at the extortionate prices, people still buy the gas. Once they start charging too much for gas, people will actually start buying less of it, or developing alternatives, and that is the key - that is what supply and demand are all about. If you have ever bought gas at the prices you are moaning about, then you’re a hypocrite because you clearly do value gas at at least the price you bought at (unless you’re completely dumb). If you’ve never bought gas at the high price, then you prove the Supply & Demand logic - they made fewer sales BECAUSE they charged more. It’s fundamental, basic stuff.
Now bringing this back to phones, the iPhone sells out every time it is released, selling more than they can produce. The millions of people who buy believe that the phone is worth what they pay for it. Yet despite being ‘more expensive’ than some Android phones, the Android phones don’t sell out. Why? Because there’s less demand for them, which in turn reduces their value. So in effect, the Android phones are sold for less because they are worth less to the market, that market being everybody on the planet. Once Apple stops selling the best-selling phone in the world, you can start to talk about it being overpriced. Until then, you just look like an angry, bitter nerd who has an issue with other people having the same hardware as he does. And people who define themselves on hardware, are pretty pathetic, at the end of the day.
