CAT5E and Electrical Wiring

Would it cause problems if I ran CAT5E and Electrical Wiring underground in the same PVC Conduit? If so, how far do they need to be separated. Thanks.

I have both in the same conduit with no loss of data or speed of transmission.

It is also possible to use the electrical cables themselves to transfer data by using Powerline units at each end of the cable. the unit plugs into the mains and has an ethernet port to connect to a PC or laptop. So long as the mains is on the same circuit, transfer is as solid as using an ethernet cable. It also saves a lot of making holes in walls.
