CD drive to hard drive

i want to replace my cd drive bay with a hard drive for more storage. i need and ide to sata 2 converter i believe. correct me if i am wrong. is there any easy ways of doing this or will i have to make my own? also what speed limitations will there be through this connection?

it is an rf511 samsung... if you can just point me in the direction of the necissary connections i can make the caddy i just need the connectors.

Your laptop has USB3 ports.... I would be looking at a external drive using USB3.

very true but the external hard drive just clutters stuff and i already have a hard drive to put in and i am soon getting a SSD and would like to have a HDD in the optical bay also.

what does the external hard drive just clutters stuff mean? And how does your idea differ? I dont think they make what you want.

i just dont like or want a usb hard drive off the side of my laptop and would like an extra internal hdd when i am on the move. can you atleast verify that the two connections are sata to ide(hdd to cd drive)?
