CD won't play

I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop that I upgraded the OS to Microsoft 10 Home and now my CDs won't open. They will go in and spin, but that is it. Any suggestions on how to get them to play?

Does the cd drive show up in device manager? What type of cd are you using ( audio or data)?

Turbotax and it doesn't show up in device manager

Can you get into the bios and see if it's listed there?
