Hello, our notebook's video card has failed, and we need a new one.
The videocard is gtx 330m, laptop is dell vostro 3700

1. Is it possible to replace notebook's videocard? Is the process is the same as when changing a videocard on a desktop PC? I don't see the difference, but I don't have any knowledge, I heard that the process was artificially made difficult in order for people to buy new?

2. Do I need to replace it with the same model(gtx 330m) or I can put in something else, or do I need to replace it with the same model and that was made for this laptop?

The gpu is soldered to the motherboard. To replace the GPU you have to replace the motherboard. Since it's a laptop you have to use a board designed for that system, the case and motherboard are designed for each other.
There are 3 boards for that model
K84TT- Supports upto a Quad core cpu and has the dedicated Nvidia gpu
WTW8F- only support dual core and has the dedicated Nvidia gpu
V954F- only supports dual core and uses the Intel igpu
