Changed dc jack plug in

Hello,

I had bad/broken power jack on a Sony Vaio Model PCG-8R4L. After replacement my universal I-GO power supply shuts off every time I plug it in. Any ideas? Is the I-GO possibly not compatible...as I could not find it listed on the I-GO website....or does this point to a different issue in the laptop?

If it was working BEFORE and now I assume you soldered in a new one and its NOT working now....

You did it wrong lol...

Actually there is no soldering on this particular model. The jack was a pigtail and nice convenient plug. I am not certain it worked or not. I never saw it powered up. So awaiting the proper power supply to test as the universal doesn't list this laptop model as compatible.
