Charging my dash cam in car verses home's 100V

Why does a car's 12 volt system charge slower than in my home's 110 volt system. I thought those little boxes or cigarette lighter plug-ins were supposed to allow enough current to charge at the same rate.

Depends on the car charger and what you are charging. My car charger charged my phone just about as fast as my house charger, I had to buy a new charger for my wife because hers was not even keeping up with the phone as it was being used. Could also be the cable quality.
