This one is for toms guide, the other is for toms hardware. Different apps.
[citation][nom]nebun[/nom]does tom's really have to jump on the win8 bandwagon?[/citation]
Would be convenient for the tablet/phone segment. Just like the iOS/Android apps.
[citation][nom]universalremonster[/nom]No different than everyone jumping on the Win8 Hate bandwagon before they've ever even used it.[/citation]
Can't speak for other haters but I've used Windows 8 since the Developer Preview and it's a step back as a desktop OS. Additionally, Windows 8 will be a disaster for the PC if Microsoft keeps pushing the desktop to legacy-land in favor of Metro.
to all those talking about how smooth and fast windows 8 is... stop embarrassing yourselves.
OF COURSE it is smooth and fast... you've just installed it... it is fresh on your system.
Fresh windows installations are always "smooth and fast" which renders such comments totally meaningless.
If it is still smooth and fast after 1.5 years of constant daily use then you have something to talk about, but NOBODY has been using windows 8 long enough to have any basis for talking about how smooth and fast it is at this stage in the game.
2 cents on the split between toms guide, toms hardware, IT Pro... etc..
this split is very distracting and IMHO detrimental to the website as a whole.
Anyone else notice that all of the "Cloud" propaganda "articles" are always on a version of this site that requires a facebook or other login method... almost as if it's just to keep comments there to a minimum.

people need to get real computers....i see no need for tablets or touch screens...they are so annoying to use
