Question checking the galaxy a21 for being unlocked

i got this galaxy a21 back in jan about the first of the month. tracfone sent it to me free because the phone i had was due to go offline because of the 3g it had was going off line. so tracfone sent me the galaxy a21 phone. it is a 32gb phone and i need at least a 64gb phone so the wife wants to use this one as her old lg aristo is old and she lies this one's screen size.

anyway, i tired on my old lg k20 to put her sim in it and when it was locked it did not work. so i want to see how to find out if this a21 is locked and if it is not possible then how can i unlock it so she can put her sim into it and use it.

The phone was sent to you from tracfone? Contact them and ask the status.

i have a procedure i have to try but i have to wait one more month. some here said feb to try again but then i learned to wait 60 days thanks
