choosing between two laptops

i have a alienware m14x r2 and its really showing its age. im in the market for a new gaming(ish) laptop for when im not at home on my desktop. im currently looking at the ASUS ROG GL551JW-DS71
or the dell 15 7559. feel free to post other suggestions not looking to spend over a $1000 preferably a lot less.

I'd go with the ROG, have a number of clients that love the ROG laptops for higher end and gaming LTs,

okay! i also found this model that has skylake: ASUS ROG GL752VW-DH71 i know its a 17" how does that compare vs. the ASUS ROG GL551JW-DS71

Bigger screen than the DS71, newer CPU the 6700HQ vs the 4720, DDR4 vs DDR3, newer OS Win10 vs 8, basically it's the upgraded replacement model for the DS71 (which i think my have been discontinued)

Think I'd stick with the Skylake, but either would be good 😉
