Is it only slow on the Net or all the time?
Update and run your anti-virus programme and let it deal with anything it finds
Download the free version of MalwareBytes from www.malwarebytes.org and run a full scan, again letting it get rid of anything it finds. Download ATF Cleaner from www.atribune.org and tick all the boxes then let it clear out the clutter.
Go into c:\windows\system32 and right click the file cmd.exe then choose RunAs Administrator. In the black form that shows up, type
powercfg hibernate off
then ht Enter. You'll see a success message. Then at the prompt, type
CleanMgr
and hit Enter. Close the black form and you'll see a smaller form. Tick all the boxes and wait however long it takes to complete. When it does, restart the machine.
That should speed things up.
