Clock Speed

What will happen if i plug in a device which requires a higher clock speed than my laptops capabilities, this device requires 2ghz and my laptop holds 1.8ghz.

I think he's talking about system requirements for software.

if your laptop is really 1.8ghz, it is either really new (great battery) or really old (slow). If a game or program needs a higher clock speed, don't change the laptop.

I would really recommend running it on a desktop or a more powerful laptop. even if you increased the clock speed just enough for it to work, it would work so slowly that you'd wish that you used a different computer.
