Hi, Does anyone agree with the hookup of two amps being main pre- amp out to the second pre-amp in?

I think your confused.
The preamp output is connected to the power amp input.
Or perhaps you should explain what you are trying to do in much greater detail.

yes! i'm confused, what i want to do is connect two kenwood amplifiers together, the first amp is the ka-8100, and the second is the ka-6100, they both have pre outs and in's so is it possible to connect them, i thought all receivers and integrated amplifiers had a pre amp side, i want to use the ka- 6100 for my rear speakers, and the ka- 8100 for my front speakers, i don't have a power amplifier and then a pre amp to connect, these are two integrated amplifiers that i'm trying to use together, can this be done?
