Compaq presario B2800 cannot power on !! Help!!

Oh dear , hope someone can help me here , i got a faulty laptop , thinking it's the video cable problem . Its Compaq presario B2800 . When i first got it , when i pushed the power on button , the button light up for less than a sec , than when off , when i plugged in the ac adaptor , the charging light was solid . Then i tot o f dissembling the whole laptop to check the video cable . Then i think i lifted up the top cover too hard the one holding the keyboard . one of the connector fell out from its holder , its a white with blue connector ,a very slim wan , and then now when i pushed the power button , there is no light at all , charging lights still on when i plugged in the ac adaptor , anyone can advise me what i can do ? I tried putting bk the white + blue connector , but failed cos the clip holding the connector is lost . Btw there is a red line on the blue part of the connector . Any help would be appreciated , thanks !! 🙁 😛
