Compaq V2000z or HP 5000t / z

what do you guys think about Compaq V2000z or HP 5000t or Z LT?

I basicaly need LT for web browsing and learning.

I play games on my ASUS Mobo and i don't plan watching videos or movies on LT.

I planned to spend up to $1000.

But can't decide wich way to go. AMD or Intel Duo. or should i wait until
Merom commes out.

Compaq has only AMD processors.
HP gives you choice of both.

I'd like to get Asus or IBM but can't get it for that price. KillerNoteBooks are awesome but don't plan to game on LT.

I own a Compaq V2000. I bought mine at BestBuy last July. With the sale price and rebates. I paid less than $700. That's with a 14' widescreen.

I have an awesome lightly used Acer 14.1" that would be perfect for that use because it has every available piece of software known to man on it $666.

AMD Turion with 64 bit is the way to go. Mine has 64 bit. Now if I can get into M$ to download Vista 64 bit.
