Solved! Computer won't turn on (Acer Aspire)

A while back, I dropped my bag with my computer in it which caused some problems with the "lining" of the screen being attached. Today, my computer shut off and smells weird, but the charging light is still on and the light that comes on when it turns on will show up but will disappear after a few seconds. Should I just wait a bit or take the battery out and then put it back in? I need solutions that work without any extra parts, because I am stuck at home

Smells weird is not a good sign, you need to open it and examine the system, there is a good chance there will be some damage around the power input. I'd guess you will need a new motherboard.
