Question connect insignia NS-SBAR21F20 to Samsung UN40H5203AF TV

I am having trouble connecting an insignia NS-SBAR21F20 to a Samsung UN40H5203AF TV. I am using the included RCA cable, would getting the digital optical cable fix this? And just to be clear, yes I went into the settings on the tv, changed the audio output from tv speakers to audio out. Also, I can connect to the sound bar through blue tooth on my phone, no problem. We mostly watch everything on the TV through a small roku device, no audio connections on it, it's connected to the TV through an HDMI cable

Insignia contacted me, advised to use the 3.5 mm headphone jack to connect to the TV. The sound bar came with a RCA cable adapter for this.
