Connect my dvd player system to my pc? (HELP)

hey forum, i would just like to know whether you could teach me to link my dvd player system to my pc. I want my dvd player with 5.1 speakers to use it as a main audio device. I've tried connecting it but when plugged it into the audio jack, only one of the speakers is working, the rest is not. So i would really appreciate if you can help me out here. Thanks in advance (p.S im really bad with computers and speakers)

My model of my dvd player: samsung HT-E350K

if you have the realtek audio manager then there should be speaker configuration with stereo quadphonic and 5.1 experiment which one gives you the most speakers playing

this has a trs connector on the aux so its perfect

just to clarify, do i need to plug in the yellow cable as well or just the white and red

Does your sound card have an optical plug (Toslink)? If so, connect both the sound card's and your Amp's plug and that's it...

naa his amp dont have optical apart from RCA he has hdmi

Just a note that I don't think the OP is going to get anything more than stereo sound from the PC through the DVD player. If he's lucky, the DVD player will attempt to simulate surround sound.

maybe but defonatly he got the wrong lead or its damaged at least stereo but he only got one speaker , so the amp cannot even simulate surround without the second channel

hey i've already bought new cables and its now plugged it. but now its only my front two speakers and my subwoofer are working. my surround speakers and center is not working 🙁

Ok next before getting anything else we shoud make sure your software on your pc is not set to stereo so to avoid all that plug it into your phone and see how much speakers are playing

Ok so not a software thing , what you are going to have to do is change the settings for my system their is stereo , surround and sim something just go through the settings until you here all speakers. and do this whilst playing music from your phone

No, you don't need any of those devices.

Pg. 32 of your user manual seems to state that if you press the PL II (ProLogic II) button on your remote, it should simulate 5.1 surround from the stereo AuxIn input.
