I have a new lg smart tv and a Panasonic DVD player how do I connect them

Option 1. Use HDMI to connect them.
Option 2. Use component video plus audio to connect them.
Option 3. Use composite video plug audio to connect them.
Option 4. Buy an adapter to convert the output of the mystery model DVD to the mystery model TV HDMI input..
Option 5. Buy a disc player with HDMI.
