connect ps3 and dvr to woofer

i have a ps3, samsung tv, sony sound system and a dish tv. When i switch input to ps3 sound plays out of sound system but when i switch to dish tv sound from tv. I need both the ps3 and dvr sound play from sound system. how do i get it done ?? Help!!

Do you get sound if ypu connect the DISH box audio out directly to the sound system.Try changing the audio output type of the DISH TV box if not.
Try a different HDMI input on the TV.
If you can't get it to work through the TV you could use an external HDMI input selector with audio extraction like this one
