I was looking for help to connect my pioneer sp-sb23w soundbar to my samsung 6400 tv, cable box, xbox 1, apple tv and have them all be controlled by my onkyo receiver. the soundbar only has optical and analog outputs. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

If you are trying to use the sound bar as your front left right speakers then you can use a speaker to line level adapter

to connect it to the front speaker outs on the receiver. That would go to the analog input on the sound bar. If that is the only speaker your use then set the receiver for 2.0 or stereo. large front. no center, sub or surround.
If you don't have any other speakers there is no real advantage to using the receiver for audio unless you are using it as a switcher in which case an HDMI switcher with audio extractor would do the job.
