Connecting 5.1 surround sound

I have Dell 5.1 surround sound speakers from an old PC. The jacks are black, yellow and grey. The ports on my sound card are pink, green, and blue. Is there any to connect these so that I can get sound out of the speakers? I had the grey one only connected to the green port on the card and it worked but I must have changed some setting somehow and now it doesn't work. Can you help?

I don't know how to tell but in Control Panel under Sound, Video and Game controllers is listed:
AMD High Definition Audio Device
HD Pro Webcam
Realtek High Definition Audio

does that help?

Any suggestions where I can find the process. I cannot get any sound and would like to fix it. I don't know what settings got changed but it was working a week ago so I know it is possible.
