I have a KEF KIT 100 home theatre system and an X96 android tv box. I was wondering if there is any way I can connect my android box to the home theatre system to experience surround sound when I use the tv box. The android tv box has an AV-out port. My tv is a loewe individual compose 46.
Th X96 box seems to have an optical digital output. You can verify that by looking in the AV port. Is there a red light? If so it has an optical output. You could connect that to the optical input on the KEF. I think you just need a cable like this -- https/www.walmart.com/ip/Kentek-6-Feet-FT-Toslink-5-0mm-mini-Toslink-3-5mm-male-male-M-M-digital-optical-audio-molded-cable-cord-sound-system-stereo-S-PDIF-Mac-PC-Fiber/459623505
Thanks for helping. I appreciate it. I don't see a red light, but I assume this is an optical output
Should I get the cable kanewolf suggested or just a regular optical cable? There is no red light in the AV-port, but theres a red light in the "optical"-port.
