Connecting digital adapter to home theater system

i have digital adapter in one of my tv setups.. the other has the digital HD box.. the digital adapter is hooked to an HD TV and it has a simple cable in and cable to TV setup. Also, there is an IR input which is not being used.. I have tried to get this setup to run thru my home theater system w/o success.. is there any way I can achieve getting the sound to run thru my home theater system...thanks much...tom neville.. nevilletp@gmail.com

Your HDTV has an optical audio output so if your HT system has an optical input you just need an Toslink optical cable. If the HT system only has an analog input you will need to purchase an digital to analog converter and the cables to connect it.

If you are not sure how to connect a digital adapter to a home theatre system then I would recommend you to contact a home theatre installer. He will help you in connecting the adapter in a proper way.
