Convert local disk to removable disk

How to convert the type of external hard disk i.e., from local disk to removable disk. So that i can use it as pendrive or connect to my phone.
Please help me. Is there any software which can convert it??

If your disk is external it should already be removable. Need a bit more details here, what do you have that you are trying to make removable?

Simply unplug and move. Assuming you didn't do something crazy, like install windows to it, external media is plug and play.
