CPU integrated graphics

Is different from the one in the motherboard?

I have a HP Probook 6460b latop , it has a Intel i5 2520M Processor that according to Intel has a Intel HD Graphics 3000, but when i opened my laptop i found a AMD HD 6470M on the motherboard.

CPU integrated graphics igpu is on the cpu itself, that what integrated mean

How can i use the igpu instead of the motherboard one?,
I am asking beacause the mb one doesn't work anymore, after crashing continously it stoped giving any display
