- ■Log on to your Windows 8 PC with an administrative account.
■From the Start screen, click the Desktop tile.
■On the desktop screen, locate and right-click the desired application for which you wish to create a keyboard shortcut.
■From the context menu, click Create shortcut.
■Once the shortcut is created on desktop, close the all opened windows.
■Locate and right-click the shortcut that you have created in the step 3. (Skype in this demonstration.)
■From the context menu, click Properties.
■Once the Skype Properties box appears, go to the Shortcut tab.
■Locate and click the Shortcut Key field.
■Press the Ctrl + Alt key combination followed by the key that you want to use as a shortcut key.
■Once done, click Apply and then OK to save and apply the changes and start using the keyboard shortcut to launch the application with ease.
