I'm pretty dissapointed with the quality of my onboard audio with the 790i. I want to be able to plug in head phones without hearing lots of noise in the background. I haven't bought a sound card in several years and before I do so - I wanted to know if the Creative X-Fi allows you to plug in the audio pin header found commonly on computer cases. It appears the pins on the card support this feature but I'd like to know for sure so that the front audio ports on my computer case for headphones and microphone will work.

Most of the new X-Fi cards allow you to do this and have a standard HD Intel audio connector that can be easily wired to the jack on the front.
If you posted this under sound cards people would reply to this sooner btw ;)
