Acer aspire - cursor frozen - help!

Press power button till it shuts down
press the power button once again to power it up

mine does the same thing. is there a reason why this happens all the time? is there another option to fix it other than pressing power button?

If it happens more often, check temperatures of the CPU and eventually the GPU, as well as the Ram via memtest and the HDD with its manufacturer´s tool.
