What do you prefer ?

I use the D - 100 and think it is a better model than the D - 70.

D-70 has a few extra features but the D - 100 just seems to feel
better...

WTF you doing in a digital group then )

IMHO the D100 feels better, but prefer the D70 day to day

I have the D100, do you feel the difference is worth it to
switch to a D70? I'm waiting for the D200 or whatever....

Nope. Have both. Use them interchangeably. Often don't even know which one I
picked up and don't care.

i own a D70, one thing that i like to have in the D70 is the vertical
grip. i shot a few days of a sports tournament and it was tiring to
have to take portrait shots all the time.

but for you, i recommend waiting for the upgraded D100 (D90?/D200?)

That may take a year or two at Nikon's current pace.

I think there's less quality difference between the D100 and the D70 than
there is likely to be between the D100 and the D200. Unless your needs/wants
are urgent, I'd keep waiting for the D200 (or whatever it's going to be
called).

That's the feeling I get on it. I'm happy with the D100 but
would prefer some faster focusing. I've got the top end
glass. The D2H was tempting, especially with the price
drop but I shoot mostly landscapes so the need for speed
at 2 mega pixels less wasn't tempting enough.

This past summer, a Nikon factory rep told me "In the spring..." for
whatever that's worth.

Canon has to introduce two more cameras before Nikon comes up with a new
one.
