Data transfer for Samsung SCH-U340 phone

I'm searching for a way to pull images and texts from an old SCH-U340 flip phone with a battery that won't hold a charge but will work when on the charging cable. From what I can tell, it won't have Bluetooth, isn't connected to a phone service and I've not found a cable that connects it to a USB port (I only see charging cables for sale and it's possible a USB cable was never produced). Most websites I've looked at haven't been helpful so I thought to go directly to the Samsung community.

I've seen a reference to a data cable here (https://www.fixya.com/support/t412934-download_pics_from_samsung_sch_u340) but can't find an instance of one on eBay or elsewhere.

Many of the older phones don't have a way to get the files out aside from emailing or texting them to someplace from the phone.
