Deep scratch or split on Dell laptop??

Hey, community. Its hard for me to say what should i call it. For me it look like a somekind of scratch not sure. Hope you can say more about this in photos i attach below. Im worried this plastic thing going to broken soon or split more

Yes it is definitely a split caused by some excessive stress on opening the top.

I would take it to a repair shop ... or remove the casing and glue it ... or buy a replacement piece of case.

Thanks for answer, its weird how did it split. Im the only owner i never dropped it or did any pressure on top.
Its vostro series laptop, i guess they are not durable

Some of the laptops have quite brittle and feeble hinges ... it is common ... but moreso with age, as many do not use UV stabilised plastic.

You could try and glue it yourself.

Look on youtube for a video showing you how to take the top part of the case off ... and follow the instructions.
