Was thinking of buying the Dell Alienware 17, in the UK, but am looking at the warranty which is only one year and can be extended for two or three years but at a great cost. On the French Dell website the warranty options are the same as in the UK, you get one year's standard warranty and you can extend it but at a great cost.
How are things in Europe with other makes, eg ASUS, ACER, MSI, Gateway etc, do they offer better warranties? I have heard that electrical / consumer items in Europe get an automatic two year warranty.
