Dell - Hard drive not found error

So I got an error booting my computer. The BIOS said my hard drive was not found. However, the problem was resolved once I rebooted. Although it was resolved, what could this mean and could it happen again?

My system is a Dell Inspiron laptop.

Yes it may happen again. Make sure the drive is seated properly and run a scan on the drive using a disk check utility. Dell may provide one, maybe in the BIOS or downloadable.
