I have the above laptop and it's started crashing/freezing, basically it keeps buffering and then crashes the website, I then have to re-boot, because nothing else will work, I can't use photoshop or re-open another browser or the start menu, this is happening once or twice a day, which is driving me mad, it happens mostly when I have a few tabs open I think or I'm streaming. Please note I am no laptop engineer and any ideas will have to be spelt out a bit as I don't know how to check what drivers I need to renew, I just go to Dell and download what they say I should. TIA

Which browser are you using?

Scan your system with an antivirus tool like avast free antivirus

I scan regularly, I'm currently using Firefox, but in the past always used Chrome, I also tried Opera, but all the same, I checked the RAM using the memory test and was fine, I ran a Dell diagnostic test again all was fine, this is the details of the crystaldisk test (I think I ran it correctly) https://photos.google.com/album/AF1QipNVaMS621kAXHSiOIp26tzW8X9FFoKk3Yrg1OV0

Also and I'm not sure if this is pertinent, but my internet is really slow, yet showing 5 bars?

Hi, so I tried Microsoft Edge and it's no different, I did a Windows 10 update last night and although it hasn't crashed or frozen for the few hours I've been on it, the internet is intermittent, despite 5 bars and it has been losing the internet and buffering, but normally when this happens it would just not do anything else, but tabs have been reconnecting, which is good. Thank you Helpstar, for your assistance btw :)

That's exactly what I have already done phone is I'm my bedroom and shows 3-4 bars and 5 on my lap top, it was quite good today and no freezing! I definitely think the software upgrade helped, but this evening internet was terrible and I couldn't get anything, even though the bars said it should be fine!

Which phone brand and model is it?
How was the phone connected? The bandwidth can be slow even if the bars are showing a very good reception, it could be, that it is only getting a very good EDGE signal, which would be very slow for streaming and even surfing.

mobile connections tend to vary in speed. Especially if more people use their phones in your neighborhood at the same time.
